Pick: Chris DiMarco
The last couple of years have been rough for DiMarco -- mostly due to injury. He's going to have to do some pretty special things if he expects to have any staying power in the postseason. He starts out with the No. 138 spot. That means he's going to have to play brilliantly in the Barclays to crack the top 120 for the Deutsche Bank Championship. These guys take it one tournament at a time. DiMarco is due to get back into the swing of things eventually, so why not when the stakes are high?

Pick: Camilo Villegas
I'm feeling a little bit of déjà vu right now. Last season, Camilo Villegas began the PGA TOUR Playoffs for the FedExCup in the No. 52 spot. With three top-10s in four Playoff events, Villegas vaulted into 24th place in 2007's final standings. This year, Villegas is 40th in FedExCup points heading into the four final events. I think that he gleaned confidence from his performance last season and predict that he will move up even more this go around, potentially making it as far as the top 10.

Pick: Paul Casey
Casey is overlooked way too often. The Ryder Cup is on his mind, but he's here to play, for sure. The good stuff comes with playing well, so . . .

Pick: Fredrik Jacobson
Fredrik The Swede comes in 45th in the points race despite the fact that four of his eight top-25 finishes have come in his last five starts. He's still looking for his first PGA TOUR victory. Perhaps on is on tap in the postseason. It would allow him to make a major jump in the standings.

Host, PGA TOUR Today
Pick: Brandt Snedeker
He is going into the playoffs outside of the golden number -- 30 -- which ultimately qualifies you for THE TOUR Championship. I think by the time the Playoffs get to East Lake, Snedeker will be there and will have a good week. He's been solid competing in some of the strongest fields this season. Two of his five top-10s were at major championships, and another was at the winners-only event, the Mercedez-Benz Championship. I think he'll end his season with another top finish -- just like he started it in Hawaii.

Pick: Scott McCarron
McCarron has hit the ball pretty well the last two months -- he's healthy again, he's confident again. It wasn't that long ago when he was considered a future star. He'll need to hit the ground running to stay active in the Playoffs, but I'll gladly put him on my sleeper list.

Helen Ross

Pick: Tim Clark
Judging by his play at the Wyndham Championship last week, Clark is starting to play well at precisely the right time. The talented South African appears poised to take advantage of the changes that are designed to make the Playoffs more volatile.

Dave Shedloski

Pick: Justin Rose
Rose starts the Playoffs 76th, and we know that last year's Order of Merit winner on the European Tour could do so much more. He just might do it during the next four tournaments.

Pick: Rory Sabbatini
His season has been a puzzle; two top-three finishes in his first three tournaments, then just one top-30 in his next 11 starts. His play at the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational and the PGA Championship was encouraging, if unspectacular, yet something tells me competing on the Playoff stage will fully awaken the South African's game. Remember, he was the only player to post top-10 finishes in all four playoff events last year. He begins at (52nd). He'll finish much higher. .
