Final-round notes: CA Championship

• Play resumed on Monday at 8:30 a.m. Preferred lies were used during the final round.

• The last Monday finish on the PGA TOUR was the 2007 Ginn sur Mer Classic. This is the first time in the 10-year history of the World Golf Championships that an event has been forced to finish on a Monday.

• Geoff Ogilvy missed three putts inside 10 feet this week and finished ranked T2 in that category making 61 out of 64. In contrast, Tiger Woods, made 65 of 74 from that distance, finishing ranked 45th for the week.

• Geoff Ogilvy's attempt to become the first player on the PGA TOUR to win a golf tournament without recording a bogey since Lee Trevino won the 1974 Greater New Orleans Open ended on the seventh hole of the final round, snapping a streak of 60 holes without a bogey. It was Ogilvy's only bogey of the tournament.

• Geoff Ogilvy is now the third player to win multiple World Golf Championships events. Ogilvy won the 2006 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Ogilvy joins Darren Clarke (2) and Tiger Woods (15) as the only three players to win multiple World Golf Championships events.

• In addition to 28-year-old Sergio Garcia, Ogilvy becomes the only player 30 years of age or younger to have three victories in events in which Tiger Woods is in the field. Ogilvy's wins with Woods in the field have come at the 2008 WGC-CA Championship, 2006 U.S. Open and the 2006 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Garcia's wins with Woods in the field came at the 2001 Buick Classic, 2002 Mercedes Benz Championship and the 2004 EDS Byron Nelson Championship.

Goosen

• Retief Goosen finished T2, his first top-10 finish since a T2 2007 Masters.

• No player has won a WGC event in his first start, except Jeff Maggert -- who won the 1999 Accenture Match Play Championship, the first-ever WGC event.

• The only other tournaments affected by weather delays this season are the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic (15-minute frost delay on Saturday), the FBR Open (frost delays each of the first three days) and the PODS Championship (suspensions on Thursday and Friday due to dangerous situations).

• Sean O'Hair and Angel Cabrera each withdrew during Sunday's third and fourth rounds, respectively. O'Hair cited family illness while Cabrera cited illness. Each receives $35,125 in unofficial money and zero FedExCup points.
