| Charity: Bridgestone InvitationalFeb. 28, 2008The Bridgestone Invitational annually generates proceeds of over $1 million that is distributed to charitable efforts through out Northeast Ohio. These proceeds come directly from hospitality and ticket sales. Over $18,000,000 has been given to worthy causes seeking to improve the quality of life in Northeast Ohio. These funds are distributed through the event's partner, Northern Ohio Golf Charities. Over the years, more than 200 charities have benefited. Recent recipients include Akron Children's Hospital, Boys and Girls Clubs, The First Tee Chapters of Cleveland, Akron and Canton, Malachi House, the Cleveland Foodbank and the USO of Northern Ohio.
